Tiriti O Waitangi

Learning about the Titiri o Waitangi has made me understand more about the history of my own culture and my country. But it also makes me enraged knowing that my whanau and iwi got tricked into giving up owe whenua. Today Maori only own 6% of Aotearoa/New Zealand from 1840 Maori owned more the 66 million acres of land. By 1975, almost 97% had been sold or taken.
